On the Road

We left Orem ar 5:30 a.m. Thursday morning. We headed to Vernal to say good bye to Justin's family. The kids missed the first hour of school to tell us goodbye and have breakfast together. We went to Denny's.

It is hard to tell your grandchildren goodbye for to years. Justin warned us as we left to drive careful and watch for deer.  As we climbed up into the mountains from Flaming Gouge we saw a deer standing in the road in the opposite lane. Elder Anthony stated to slow down. The deer looked at us and I thought he would run back into the woods instead he ran right in front of us to cross to the other side. We missed hitting the deer by about six inches.  I was so grateful for our morning prayer for safety and Justin's warning.

  1. The blessings are already beginning. I can imagine there were a few tears as you said goodbye to this sweet family.
