It is Quiet

It almost seems too quiet tonight.  Our family left today.  Michael left at 9:30 this morning and took Diana and his sweet little girls.  Lisa and Adam left at 1:00.  We did get to go to the Natural History Museum for a few hours.  Avram really liked this museum and it was fun to go with them before they left.  It has been a full week of adventures.  I think everyone was surprised at how much we walk in this city.  Everyone got pretty handy on the buses and the metro.  We were all reminded how great it is to be with family and how much we love being together.  After everyone left we did a deep cleaning.  Adam and Lisa helped get things clean up but our condo needed to be scrubbed and we are still doing laundry.  We do have a small machine.  We went and taught our last class with this group of interns.  They have been a fun class.  We will have another group in two weeks. I am so grateful for family and to see our grandchildren growing and being raised by great parents.

Last night we had 11 people sleeping in our little condo.

Tonight it is very quiet.

I really miss that little face.  We have five birthday in April.  They were all here this past week.  Someone likes their first chocolate birthday cake.

Parting is always so hard.

Natural History Museum.
We saw the orchid room which is only there from Jan. to end of April.

  1. I'm glad Lisa's family and Mike's family could come out and be with you. What fun. Loved seeing all the pictures.

  2. I loved the pictures of Lisa and Michael's families. Their kids are all growing up so fast, but so cute. That's so great they got to come and see grandma & grandpa on their mission. What an example you are setting for all of them.

  3. I wish I could have been there!
