We taught our last class for August tonight in Columbia Heights. It was a small class but those in attendance wanted to learn. The Elders and Sister were there and at the end of the class the Elders asked us to teach a training for the zone on Tuesday afternoon. We have a lot happening that day but we agreed to take the time and drive over. They train at the stake center by the temple. So we aren't completely done teaching. We are both feeling glad that we will get a little break.
Today we were trying to catch up on things that needed to be done and get grouped together with our maintenance lady so we can start our battle plan in getting the Barlow ready for the next group.
We got a nice note from one of the interns that went to BYU but did not live at the Barlow. She was so very faithful in coming to class each week She wrote:"I'm leaving on the 14th. Thank you both for how wonderful you've made this past summer! You have both been so kind to me and given me a home away from home! Your institute lessons were always exactly what I needed to help me during the week, especially this last one. You don't know how much your smiles and friendly conversations uplift the people you talk to. You are strong examples of how to be an instrument in the Lord's hands. I love you both and wish you the best on the rest of your mission!" Such a sweet remembrance.
