No WATER???????

We are back into the swing of things.  We were up early to exercise.  Elder Anthony didn't come with me but I got it in for the first time since I got sick.  We had our Monday morning meeting.  We had our class and it was a good class.  One of our interns asked us to visit her and she would show us around the Archives.  It was on our way home.  We stopped but she was taking another group on a tour so we went on our own.  We have not been to the Archives yet so we are really glad we went today.

It is great to be able to see original Magna Charter, Declaration of Independence, The Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights. I can't believe how many things they are preserving of this nation.  We have full time couples there that are digitizing records.  The guy at the desk saw our name tags and told us about the two couple that work there.  He said they will be here a year and then they send out more.  He really liked the couple that come. Very impressive place.

Our building is having so many problems .  The guy working on a water leak today didn't turn the water back on so our interns have no water tonight except on the first floor. They do have hot water but I am afraid that will be out when the tank is empty. We had a guy come out for an emergency visit but he couldn't find the value that was out and they couldn't reach the work men tonight.  You would think when they are paying as much as they are they could remember to turn on the water.  We were over at the Barlow until after 9:00.  One of our George Washington students wanted Elder Anthony to give her a blessing and we were waiting for the repair guy.

We also found out Justin and his family is coming out for a week at Thanksgiving.  His boss is treating his family to a vacation for all the overtime he has worked.  They will be staying in a hotel close to us.  We are so excited to see them.

  1. I'm surprised that you were able to take pictures of some of the documents. Last time we visited the archives photos were forbidden. Glad to hear you're getting back to more normal.
