That was too close for comfort

We were up and at the VA by 8:00 this morning.  Elder Anthony had an appointment with physical therapy.  I wanted to stop and get the meat for our office party on Tuesday.  Costco meat was too big and too much.  Walmart didn't have the cut.  Safeway didn't have the cut but a similar one.  Bingo the right place but I forgot the liquid smoke.  So we decided to stop at another Safeway on the way home.  We were in the back streets of Georgetown when I thought my heart would stop.  We have cars parked on both sides of the street, a mailman doubled park and cars trying to get by.  It is our turn and a big old dump truck decides he is coming through NOW. He starts around the mail truck and we are forced to back up and this truck went by us and the parked car next to him with only inches to spare.  We were already within inches of the parked car next to us.  I could have sworn we were going to be hit.  But we came out whole.  My heart is still thumping.

We got to spend the rest of the day getting caught up at the Barlow and starting our lessons.  This is the last lesson we will teach this year.
