The Journey to Freedom

The Journey to Freedom

Well, there isn't much to say about our day today except that we really needed the day to recuperate from a hectic first week back at work.  We spent most of the day quietly in our apartment working on our lessons for next week.  We love doing this work and try very hard to prepare lessons that will teach the gospel principles that our students need to know as well as peak their interest to continue learning.  In the process, we find ourselves being the ones that are blessed.

We did have the opportunity to talk to all of our children except David. There are times when we feel that one of the blessings of serving a mission is that Heavenly Father watches over that which we cannot.  Heavenly Father doesn't stop us from exercising our free agency but we believe that he does provide loved ones who seek it an extra portion of the spirit if they will but open their hearts to receive it.
So we continue to be excited to be here and love the opportunity to be of service. It is even better than our first missions - no transfer meetings and the companion of our choice.

  1. And you at least get to choose your companion!
