Remodel to Begin

Since the day we arrived we have heard that there is going to be a remodel of the front foyer.  This started back about a year and half ago when Elder Perry walked in and thought that the Barlow did not present the kind of image that Public Affairs needed for guest that come to the Barlow.  That was the catalyst.  Elder Anthony met with the construction manager today for the second meeting and the remodel begins Monday morning at 6:00 a.m. After all the meetings and all the talk it is going to happen.  We will have seen and been a part of a lot of changes to the Barlow during our time here.

It was Mike C. birthday today.  We went out to eat lunch at a place called Shop Chop that was really good.  It was Asian food and I think we may go back again sometime.  In the later afternoon we all got together with the Public Affairs people and had ice cream.  We are on our no sugar diet with Crystal and Ashley is also not eating sugar.  She brought down a big bowl of popcorn so we got to eat something as well.  We work with such great people.  It was fun to get together and relax and talk.

Class tonight went well.  We had three non-members, two people who have been baptized less than 13 months, one person who is being reactivated, a member of the missionary committee and the full time missionaries over the DC center.  What a great place to do missionary work.

  1. That is awesome that you had three non-members in your class, others who are new converts, and another person who is being reactivated. You are really involved in the work!
