What makes this Wednesday different from last Wednesday.

This has been a really normal day.  So what sets it apart from Wednesday last week.   Today I did print out 42 temple cards from Lisa.   Lisa is the family history specialists in the family.  She keeps us supplied with names that need temple work.  Gabe is the one that fuels that firer and desire.

Our class tonight had a non-member in that is starting to take lessons from the French speaking missionaries.  There was such a special spirit there tonight. We talked about being a disciple of Christ and following him.  We talked about  things we have to give up to follow the Savior.  We will be required to give up our will as the Savior did.  "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me."  John 6:38  Neal A. Maxwell said it best, "The submission of one’s will is really the only uniquely personal thing we have to place on God’s altar. The many other things we “give,” brothers and sisters, are actually the things He has already given or loaned to us. However, when you and I finally submit ourselves, by letting our individual wills be swallowed up in God’s will, then we are really giving something to Him! It is the only possession which is truly ours to give!"
Today was also a very cold day.  It felt like 16 degrees as we came home tonight from the metro.  It was great to have my new down coat.
One other unique happening of the day was talking to our good friend Bishop Randall Voss.  He has been diagnosed with cancer.  It looks like it is a very aggressive cancer.  He has fought MS since we have known him. He now has another battle to fight.  We called him tonight to express our love and pledge our prayers in his behalf.

  1. Brother Voss had dealt with some difficult trials in this life. I will try to remember to keep him in our prayers as well.
