Fire Drill

We were busy all day at the Barlow.  Each semester we have to conduct a fire drill.  Today was that day.  Elder Anthony was also on the phone with follow up work on the Barlow.  The interns were in the building today so there are a lot of interruptions but they are always welcome.

Elder Anthony and Susana got the nitrate levels checked on the new boiler and had to add some chemicals to the water treatment tank.  That was a first since it was put in so it took a little extra work to make sure it was done right.

We came home a little early and worked on the laundry.

We are both a little worried the steroids that Elder Anthony uses to control the pain are almost gone.  I am sure that he can not get more and we are both fearful that slowly he will return to the painful condition he was in previously.  We are praying so hard that he will continue to improve.

We closed this week by be given this beautiful flower arrangement.  It was left over from a Public  Affairs event.  They gave it to me.

The orange colors are so beautiful.  They go well in our condo.

  1. Sorry to hear about Dave's awful pain lately. We pray the pain will continue to subside even when his steroids are gone.
I enjoyed reading the letter your mission Presidents wife wrote about Elder Oaks. You are doing amazing things and have touched so many lives. Keep up the good job.
Its hard to believe it was about this time last year we were there....where did the time go?? Love you:)

  2. I would be hesitant to mess with the nitrate levels! I hope Dad and Susana got it figured out!

  3. Poor Dad. This could be a rough summer.
