Site seeing and Nursing Care

With it being Memorial Day we decided to knock off a couple more things from our bucket list.  The last two museums we needed to see was the National Museum of African Art and the Sackler Museum.  We enjoy both of the museums and learned a little bit more about the world around us.

The nice thing is that they are on both sides of the main Smithsonian castle.

This is looking over the handrail into a fountain that was full of coins people had thrown into it.  It sparkled so pretty.

This gold material is made out of cans that have been pounded.  It is pretty amazing.

This room was about filthy lucre.  I guess it was to show it would come to ruin.

These are old artifacts.

We came out and ran into the Memorial Day parade.  We got to see it as they slowly started into the main parade.  They had a ton of school bands.

We got a call and one of our interns was hurting really bad and had not been able to get up out of bed.  She needed a ride to the urgent care.  So we started our way home.  The bus' where not on their normal routes so we ended up having a little bit of a challenge to get home.  We spent the next 3 1/2 hours trying to help her.  She did get into the doctors, the pharmacy, and we stopped to do a little shopping and let her get some shopping done while we had the car.  We got her set up with an air mattress and different pillow in hopes that she can get rid of this pinched nerve.  We happen to understand what that feels like.

  1. I like when you go site seeing. Fun pictures from that.

  2. Are you going to be able to see all the museums on your bucket list? I hope your intern gets feeling better.
